The Electrasem facility is the primary manufacturing unit
that produces both the Catalytic Bead Sensors found in
General Monitors’ combustible gas detectors, the
MOS Sensors used in General Monitors’ H2S
gas detectors and the Electro-Chemical Cell Sensors in
General Monitors toxic gas detectors. This facility employs
state-of-the-art automated electronic assembly equipment
and produces thousands of sensors annually with exceptional
yields.

Film Vacuum Deposition
Our
sophisticated thin film vacuum deposition equipment
relies on Rf and DC bias etching and sputtering.
Our capabilities allow us to produce advanced electronic
circuitry for a wide range of sophisticated sensor
and other high reliability applications required
in diverse industries. |
Ceramic
Substrates
Our
capabilities include the manufacture of custom ceramic
substrates for a wide variety of applications. This
capability includes the production of advanced custom
ceramic substrates with fired-in precious metal
pins for superior performance and ultra-high reliability
in rugged environmental conditions. |
Precious
Metals Silk-Screening
In
the manufacture of our MOS sensors, our capabilities
include automated silk screening on ceramic of resistor
inks, as well as gold, silver, platinum and liquid
glass. |
Pick
and Place Assembly
Employing
automated pick-and-place electronic assembly equipment,
our capabilities range from small prototype runs
to medium volume assembly. Standard component sizes
range from the 0402 chip to PLCC 84, measuring 1
inch. Quad Vision systems provide fine pitch placements.
Cleaning is provided in a closed-loop filtration
de-ionization system.

Soldering
Electrasem’s
reflow soldering equipment features industry-standard
infrared and convection technology. The company’s
equipment is compatible with a wide range of electronic
components and printed circuit board sizes. Its
